Driving to Carmarthen along the A484 in autumn.

I spent a few months living in Drefach Felindre — a lovely village nestled in the wilds of west Carmarthenshire, about half an hour from Carmarthen and Cardigan. To get there from Carmarthen you take A484 north west through the Japanese Larch-lined slopes of the valley before turning off near Henllan. It’s a scenic drive anyway, but in the autumn sun when the larches have turned gold, it’s really something.

I spend a lot of time in a daze at the natural beauty I see while driving, mostly frustrated at missing the opportunity to capture a shot (for obvious reasons), so I’m particularly grateful to have been a passenger in this instance, able to capture a photo that encapsulates what I love about this drive in autumn
