Sgwd Gwladys waterfalls near Pontneddfechan surrounded by golden autumn foliage.

As one of the easiest accessed waterfalls in waterfall country Sgwd Gwladys (Lady Falls) is an extremely popular waterfall causing the road near the Angel Inn to fill with cars in the summer season. I’ve visited Sgwd Gwladys several times – once in summer season (never again), but prefer either early spring or autumn.

This shot taken on a grey, autumn day has to be my favourite photo of Sgwd Gwladys. No gimmicks with long exposure to smooth out the water, just taken as is. I love the way it’s nestled amongst the foliage giving it an almost faery glen sort of feel, and of course the golden hues of the leaves encapsulate the wonder of autumn.

This photo is available to purchase in my store.
