This is a throwback to Brecon Road, Ystradgynlais in 2020 and looks quite different now due to the Persimmon Maes Y Rhos development which now stands where those vehicles are parked.
Another example of how there can be so much beauty in the mundane under the right conditions. I love that I captured golden hour striking the houses on Brecon Road and the Darren just visible over the crest of the hill in the distance — something I’m often frustrated that I miss the opportunity to photograph due to being busy driving down the hill. The dramatic sky and the way that the road is slightly reflective from recent rain just adds to the scene.
This one’s not the greatest quality — taken on my old phone as a JPEG so it has limited dynamic range and resolution. However, I’m glad I captured it.
