There’s a special kind of tranquility that settles over the world just before dawn. Before my daughter made her grand entrance, these early morning excursions were my cherished ritual. I’d slip out of the house while the world still slept, making my way along Cycle Route 43 from Ystradgynlais to Caehopkin and back before cooking breakfast and getting ready for work.
This picture captures the essence of that time for me. It’s all about the tranquillity – the fresh, cool air, the way the early sun cast a gentle, crisp glow, and the sparkle of dew on every blade of grass. The silence, broken only by the occasional bird song, was profound — an undisturbed peace thanks to the lack of others. Looking back, those summer mornings were undoubtedly a time to cherish, a beautiful calm before life sped up.
