I’ve driven past this several times, but not had the chance to stop and take it in until a few weeks ago on a weekend trip up to north Wales. At this point if the journey, I was already giddy from the superb autumn colours on the way up through mid Wales. Around the reservoir, the foliage wasn’t quite so striking as on the journey up.
But that light!
Cold winds were buffeting us and it was spotting to rain, which gave a refreshing fizz to the sunrise.
