My exploration of painting small canvases with acrylics continues. Whilst I started this piece on New Year’s Eve, it’s technically my first finished painting of 2019. It’s a more sparse scene than my previous 7x5in painting — Foxgloves on Irfon Forest, but it actually took me longer to finish. Perhaps this is due to it being spread over three one-hour sessions whereby I lost some momentum?
Rhossili Bay is considered one of the best beaches in the world and it’s not hard to understand why. Miles of golden sand, imposing cliffs, and the unforgettable Worms’ Head. The reference was a photo I took on an absolute scorcher of a day back in the summer of 2018.
