After creating long-form, intricate pieces with oils, acrylics, and pens, I really wanted to simplify in the attempt to make artwork a more regular thing for me – somewhat more of a habit. Inspired by Carol Marine’s ‘Daily Painting’ concept, I cut some A4 sheets of watercolour paper into A6 pieces, limited my colour palette, and set about quickly painting scenes from my imagination.

After finishing several pieces in the space of about an hour, this was the one I was most pleased with.
