John Lennon said “Life is what happens to you while you’re busy making other plans”. I could say the same about sunsets.
I was walking out of Lidl after grocery shopping when the sky flared up. I raced home, ran into the house to find my camera, and back out into the street to capture what I could. When they happen so unexpectedly like this, I always wish I could be somewhere else, perhaps somewhere a bit higher with rolling scenery. I suppose that makes them even more special when I am somewhere a bit more dramatic than the street where I live.
I know that sunset shots are a bit of a cliché, but I just can’t help myself when it comes to capturing them. Each one is unique, and I wonder in twenty years when I look back at all my sunset photos, will I remember the moments that accompanied them?
