I’d had Pontsticill Reservoir on my ‘to visit’ list for quite some time. I’d hoped to park up and go for a good long walk there on a reasonably fine day. As it happened it was the end of a long weekend up in Merthyr Tydfil, I was really tired and the rain was coming in. So the extent of my first visit was standing on the shore, still very low from the summer’s drought, looking across the rain-spattered water to the misty hillsides.
However, it reminded me that some of the best images can be caught when the weather is less than ‘ideal’. Considering this was a snap from my few minutes spent there, I’m pretty pleased with this one.
